FC Barcelona carried out an emergency drill at the Spotify Camp Nou this Wednesday, a necessary step within the operational validation process prior to welcoming fans back to the stadium. The exercise took place following confirmation of the granting of the first-occupancy licence for Phase 1b of the renovation works, and in line with the Club’s intention, communicated to LaLiga, to host the upcoming League match against Athletic Club on Saturday, 22 November at our stadium.

The drill, which involved around 100 volunteers, simulated an emergency situation in a specific area of the stadium with the aim of testing internal protocols and operational coordination. In accordance with LaLiga’s requirements, the exercise included the activation of the emergency operations centre (UCO) and the presence of the Mossos d’Esquadra and the Barcelona Urban Guard.

This drill is part of the standard protocol required to ensure that the stadium meets all safety standards prior to its reopening. Through this action, FC Barcelona reaffirms its commitment to rigorous, preventive management designed to guarantee the highest level of protection for its members, supporters and fans.
