Not the best start to the league season for the blaugranes with Joan Peñarroya's team going down to a 93-81 defeat at Valencia in their opening game of the Endesa League season.
It was never going to be an easy fixture in the Roig Arena for the blaugranes and Valencia imposed themselves on the game early on. Barça lacked fluidity in the first quarter and the home side romped into a 24-15 lead that put the Peñarroya's team on the back foot.
The second quarter followed a similar pattern, even though there were moments when Barça seemed to be clawing themselves back into the contest, with Valencia taking a 46-33 lead into the break.
In the second half Valencia were able to manage their lead despite three pointers from Clyburn and Punter for Barça. The home side maintained at least a 10 point lead in the fourth quarter to deny the blaugranes any hope of a comeback to close out a 93-81 win.
