September is coming, and with it the first international break of the season. One of the squads with the most call-ups will be Barça’s, and as of today two players have already been summoned by their national teams: Raphinha with Brazil and Christensen with Denmark.
Ancelotti names Raphinha
The manager has included Raphinha as a key attacking figure for a break in which the Canarinha will play two qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. Brazil already mathematically secured their ticket in the previous international window, but this September they still face two more fixtures.
The first will be against Chile at the Maracanã on Friday 5 September at 2:30am CEST. Brazil’s second game will be on the 10th at 1:30 am CEST, this time against Bolivia at the Estadio Municipal El Alto in the city of La Paz.
Christensen chasing World Cup
As for Christensen, he also has two World Cup qualifying matches. The first will also be on Friday 5 September, against Scotland (8:45pm CEST at Parken Stadium, Copenhagen), and the Danes then travel to Piraeus to face Greece on Monday 8 September at the same time.
In the coming days, the lists of the remaining national teams will be announced.
