On Saturday 28 June, a commemorative meal was held to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Peña Barcelonista de l’Ametlla de Mar. The event was attended by Joan Soler, the FC Barcelona board member responsible for Youth Football; members of the Social Commission, Jordi Brull and Lluís Pérez; Enric Masip from the Sports Department of the President's Office; Xavier O’Callaghan, Director of Professional Sports; and Carlos Naval, Team Manager of the first football team. Also present were the mayor of l’Ametlla de Mar, Eva del Amo, and the supporters’ club president, Roger Llambrich.
Before the meal, the new headquarters of the PB l’Ametlla de Mar was officially inaugurated. Attendees enjoyed an emotional look back at the history of the penya, which included tributes to former presidents and to the residents of l’Ametlla who have supported the club over its forty years of existence. During the event, board member Joan Soler addressed the penyistes. FC Barcelona representatives signed the books of honour of both the Town Hall and the penya, and a commemorative plaque was unveiled, along with a graffiti mural dedicated to PB l’Ametlla de Mar.
The meal was held at the Sant Pere Fishermen’s Guild and brought together nearly 300 people. The penya president, Roger Llambrich, welcomed guests with a heartfelt speech. This was followed by speeches from Mayor Eva del Amo and Enric Masip, who closed the event with words of gratitude and recognition.
