The home side particularly showcased their prowess with 3-pointers, amassing a stunning 20 in this game, with Parker (21 points), Abrines (20) and Punter (18) leading the way. The victory lifts Barça into fifth place, while Girona, despite the loss, seal their top-division status thanks to Granada’s defeat at the same time.

From the tip, Barça set the tone. In the first eight minutes they hit 5 out of 7 triples to surge ahead 21–10, and by the end of the opening quarter they were commanding the proceedings on 32–19. Girona did trim the gap to 39–30 midway through the second, but two quick Abrines triples pushed the halftime score to 53–35, in theory meaning that the second half was going to be nothing but academic.

Indeed, after the break, Barça never let up. Fall’s three-point play early in the third quarter broke the 20-point margin (67–46), and Anderson then rattled off eight straight points to make it 79–53. Even though the final quarter ended evenly (18–18), Girona never seriously threatened to get back into the game.

Barça eased off in the closing minutes but still cruised to a comfortable 97–74 win.
