There is a huge week in store for various FC Barcelona teams. In handball, basketball, women's football and youth football, the next few days will be crucial en route to potential European crowns.
Two EuroLeague games in Monaco
The basketball team is playing Monaco in a best-of-five quarter final series, with a place in the Final Four the prize for the winner. Barça have hit form at the right moment, winning 10 of their last 12 games, and will hope to get off on the right footing this Wednesday 23 at 7pm CEST. Two days later comes game two before the action moves to the Palau Blaugrana for games three and four.
Third UEFA Youth League?
Juliano Belletti's side have already won the domestic double and now they are off to Nyon for the Final Four of the Youth League. In the semi-finals they play AZ Alkmaar of the Netherlands this Friday at 6pm CEST, and should they win will play Salzburg or Trabzonspor for the title on Monday. They're hoping to become the first team to win the competition three times, currently tied on two with Chelsea.
Hungarian challenge in handball
If the handball team are to go to Cologne, the same city where they won the title last season, they'll need to win a home and away battle with PICK Szeged, beginning in Hungary this Thursday at 6.45pm CEST. The return at the Palau Blaugrana is exactly a week later on May 1 at 1.45pm CEST.
Stamford Bridge awaits
The women's football team are in fine stead for yet another Champions League final after beating Chelsea 4-1 in the first leg of their semi-final.But there is still Sunday's second leg to play, at Stamford Bridge at 3pm to ensure passage to the grand event that this year is being hosted by the city of Lisbon.
