FC Barcelona Women v Real Madrid | Preview

Barça Women take on Real Madrid on Sunday at 12pm CET in the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in week 9 of the Liga F. Jonatan Giráldez's team have a 100% record in the competition so far with eight wins in eight matches with rivals Real Madrid just two points behind as they have seven wins and a draw in their eight league games this season. 

Real Madrid in form 

Real Madrid have a squad that blends youth and experience. Their top scorer this season is the Danish striker Signe Bruun who has five goals followed by Naomie Feller and Athenea del Castillo on four. There is plenty of quality in the rest of the squad with the likes Carmona, Caicedo, Teresa, Toletti, Ivana, Rocío and Zornoza with Alberto Toril's team coming into the game off the back of league wins against Eibar and Real Sociedad and a draw in the Champions League against Chelsea. 

The home side 

As well as their eight wins in the league this season in eight matches, Jonanta Giráldez's team got off to great start in the Champions League in midweek with a 5-0 over Benfica in their opening fixture of the campaign.
