Barça 104-92 Girona: Offensive exhibition and into the final

The blaugranes put in a great second half performance sees them through their semi-final

The ACB Catalan League final will see Barça in with a shout of their first silverware of the season after a 104-92 victory over Girona. An excellent second half performance saw Roger Grimau's side through in a game that also saw Joel Parra, Willy Hernangómez and Darío Brizuela make their debuts after World Cup duty.

Laprovittola sets the pace

Barça started strongly with Nico Laprovittola leading the way with consecutive three pointers to give the home side an eight point lead. The Argentine contributed 11 points in the opening quarter to give the blaugranes a 29-24 lead going into the second quarter.

In the second quarter Girona upped their game and despite the efforts of Parra, they took a 51-46 lead into the break in the contest in Lleida.

Barça coach Roger Grimau's words seemed to have an effect and the blaugranes scored 13 unanswered points to take a 61-53 lead. Kalinic, Parker and Da Silva all contributed to stretch the lead to 10 points. Girona came back at the blaugranes but the blaugranes' offensive power was enough to see them through for the win.

The blaugranes will now face Baxi Manresa in the final on Tuesday after their semi final win over Joventut de Badalona.
