Barça 5-1 Deportivo Liceo: First series win in the bag

First game and the first win. The Barça roller hockey side begin the final series for OK Liga title with an important win over Liceo in front of the fans at the Palau Blaugrana. Joao Rodrigues (3) and Pau Bargalló (2) scored the home side's goals.

So, the roller hockey Clásico ended in a home win. It wasn't easy, however, because the first half was very even, with Pau Bargalló scoring a goal to put Barça ahead after a tactical move (1-0, min 14), before Àlex Rodríguez quickly equalised (1-1, min 15). Halftime score 1-1.

However, Edu Castro's side scored through Joao Rodrigues (2-1, min 26) directly from the restart and the score was already 3-1 only three minutes into the second half as Pau Bargalló scored his second goal of the night after an assist by Nunes (3-1, min 28).

There were more goals to come with a brace by Joao Rodrigues completing the triumph, making it 4-1 after a superb assist by Alabart (min 46) and 5-1 after a pass by Hélder Nunes (min 48).

After this significant win the team moves on to the second game this Saturday (7.00pm CEST), also in the Palau Blaugrana, with another win the aim to travel to Galicia with a good advantage.
