FC Barcelona penyista identification process gets under way

The project for the FC Barcelona supporters clubs is entering a new stage that is very important for the future of these 'penyes', namely the process of identifying them. Today the club has launched a registration procedure for penya members, whereby they will be considered official FC Barcelona supporters and will receive digital ID card  and will be granted special information and benefits.

To start this procedure and so that both the penya and its members have all the data security guarantees on details that they disclose to FC Barcelona, the first step will be to assign a manager of the penya, preferably from among the members of its board of directors. This person will validate requests made to the penya and will confirm that they are indeed members thereof, and will oversee the subsequent stages whereby information on penya members is to be stored on an online platform that will be used for all arrangements between the penya, its members and FC Barcelona, ​​such as the allocation of tickets and updating of data on each penya's board of directors.

Over the next few weeks, FC Barcelona will collect the information from its penyes before beginning the second part of the process.

Second step: the registration of the manager

The second part of the process for registration and identification of FC Barcelona supporters clubs is all about these managers. The club will be contacting all penyes so that they send the previously designated persons a registration form that they will have to fill out.

This form, which has all the information security guarantees of FC Barcelona, ​​will be the step prior to the registration of all penyes. The Penyes Department will ensure that the people who claim to be the managers of each club are duly designated, thus guaranteeing the proper use of the platform.

Third step: registration of members

The third and final step of this registration of official supporters clubs will involve the members of those clubs. By means of a form, each 'penyista' will proceed by registering on the FC Barcelona platform, thus becoming part of the great blaugrana family and obtaining their official Barça penya membership card. In addition, they will be able to receive first-hand information from the club and enjoy a series of special benefits.
