Goals flowing for Lewandowski

Polish striker's five goals in four games ranks him amid with the all-time Liga greats

Robert Lewandowski has started his FC Barcelona career in spectacular fashion. His goal against Sevilla was the fifth of a season that is only four games old, making him the joint top goalscorer in the competition alongside Iago Aspas of Celta Vigo.

Making history

The Polish goal-getter is just the eighth different player to score that many goals at this early stage of a Liga season in the last decade:

Leo Messi (FC Barcelona, 5 times)
Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid, 3)
Radamel Falcao (Atlético Madrid, 2)
Karim Benzema (Real Madrid, 1)
Gerard Moreno (Villarreal, 1)
David Villa (FC Barcelona, 1)
Iago Aspas (Celta, 1)
Robert Lewandowski (FC Barcelona, 1)

Leo Messi is the only player to have gone beyond that mark after four games. In both the 2012/13 and 2013/14 seasons, he scored an amazing SIX goals in that time.

Pichichi Lewandowski

Lewandowski only failed to score in his Spotify Camp Nou debut against Rayo Vallecano. He then went on to score braces against both Real Sociedad away and Valladolid away before making it five at the Sánchez Pizjuán in Saturday's 3-0 win.
