Barça arrive in the United States

FC Barcelona land at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport following a nine-hour flight

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA — FC Barcelona landed here at 7:30pm ET (1:30am CEST) on Saturday after a nine-hour flight from Barcelona, marking the beginning of the team's 2022 summer tour in the United States. Shortly after takeoff, major news was dropped as the Club announced an agreement in principle for the signing of Robert Lewandowski.

The FC Barcelona expedition is headed by the Club's president, Joan Laporta, along with the vice-presidents Rafa Yuste, Elena Fort, Antonio Escudero, and Juli Guiu, the secretary Josep Cubells, and the directors Miquel Camps, Josep Ignasi Macià, Xavier Puig, Àngel Riudalbas, Joan Solé, and Joan Soler. Barça manager Xavi Hernández did not travel with the team due to administrative reasons, and is expected to join the tour in Miami in the coming days.

First workouts on Sunday

Barça will hold their two first training sessions in the United States on Sunday. The team's first game is set for Tuesday, July 19 versus David Beckham's Inter Miami
