Joventut Badalona 83-72 Barça: Setback in Badalona

Beaten in Badalona. Barça couldn't find a way to win in the domestic competition, losing 83-72 to Joventut de Badalona. The home side prevented Barça from coming back despite their best efforts. Davies stood out for the visitors, with 19 points.

Even early stages

The game started with both side exchanging baskets and three-pointers. Barça were finding it hard to get into the attacking groove with the home side's defence dominating up to the end of the first quarter (20-17).

The second quarter saw Barça's accuracy wane, allowing Badalona to take advantage and open up a 16 point lead by half-time (50-34).

Comeback falls short

Barça found their shooting boots again after the break, even reducing the difference to 7 points after a three-pointer by Exum at the start of the final quarter (63-56). Joventut de Badalona realised the danger, however, and saw the game out to win 83-72. Despite the win, Barça remain leaders of the domestic competition.
