Barça started the game with Sertec Sanli a last minute absentee due to a back injury, however, they did not let that distract them as they got back to winning ways in the Euroleague following the defeat in their last fixture away at Zalgiris. 

After a loss in Belgrade earlier in the season the blaugranes turned the tables on the visitors in the Palau with a deserved 82-70 win. 

Bright start 

The opening minutes saw an even contest but as the half wore on, Barça began to take control. With Mirotic, Brandon Davies and Jokubaitis all coming to the fore in the second quarter, the blaugranes went in at half time 47-32 up. 

In the second half eight unanswered points from the visitors brought then back into the game. Nevertheless, Dante Exum took charge for Saras Jasikevicius' team and the blaugranes headed off any threat of a comeback from Zvezda.

With the win Barça go back to the top of the table in the Euroleague with 22 wins and six defeats.
