Captain Carles Puyol and Javier Mascherano followed him, and then it was Leo Messi in 2015-16. The next season Sergi Roberto won after the historical comeback against PSG. Ivan Rakitic was the man chosen in 2017-18. After him, Ter Stegen and Alexia Putellas won in 2018-19.
