FC Barcelona are well represented in the shortlist for FIFA's The Best award, above all in the women's category. Four current members of the Barça Women's team are nominated; Aitana Bonmatí, Caroline Graham-Hansen, Jennifer Hermoso and Alexia Putellas, whilst Leo Messi, a blaugrana until June, is amongst the nominees in the men's category. Lluis Cortés, the coach of Barça Women last season, is also on the shortlist in the category of Best Coach.
Barça Women heavily represented
The tremendous campaign for the Barça women's team did not go unnoticed and four of the 13 candidates for the best player in the women's category belong to Barça Women. Lluis Cortés is up against four other candidates in the women's football coaching category.
