Barça won again, this time in Bilbao. After a sluggish start everything feel into place in the second half, with intensity in defence and offence and 22-point Jokubaitis quite outstanding.
Solid defence was the key to the first period lead of 16-18, but the Catalans struggled to move any further ahead until opportune timeouts called by Jasikevicius seemed to bear fruit.
But it wasn’t until the third period that the blaugrana blasted into overdrive. Within the wink of an eye they were +19, as they own percentages leapt up and the Basques ones went the other way.
But of one man deserves credit above all others, that man is Jokubaitis, who didn’t miss a shot until the final period, when although Bilbao did react it was never enough to trouble the visitors.
