A spectacular start to the Euroleague campaign for Barça with a 96-64 win at the Palau Blaugrana over Alba Berlin their opening fixture in the competition. 

 

Saras' team started in superb fashion with seven unanswered points and never looked back in the first half. A 20-13 lead was reinforced with two successive three pointers from Kuric to give the home side a 28-15 lead. The half continued in the same vein and at the break Barça led 50-29. 

Second half 

In the second half the dominance continued as the lead stretched to 56-29. The Germans came back slightly at 63-46 but Smits and Jokubaitis turned up the heat and a trio of three pointers from Laprovittola in the final stages, Barça scored 14 in the game, saw the final lead go over 30 points as the game ended 96-64 to give the blaugranes a dream start to the Euroleague.
