After a long transatlantic flight, the FC Barcelona women are in the United States ready for the Women's International Champions Cup. They flew to Seattle from Barcelona via Frankfurt, and from there were transferred to Portland, venue of the competition.
On Thursday at 2.36am CEST they’ll be taking on Olympique Lyonnais at Providence Park, but before then there are a number of training sessions and institutional activities lined up.
After playing the French side they will take on the Houston Dash or the Portland Thorns in either the 3/4 place match or the final on Saturday at the same venue.
The women’s team have won all three preseason friendlies played until now, against Elche, Juventus and Montpellier.
