The Euroleague Final Four is approaching, which will be played from May 28 to 30 at the Lanxess Arena in Cologne. Saras Jasikevicius' side will face AX Armani Exchange in the semifinals on Friday 28 at 9.30pm CEST, and below we take a look at some interesting facts ahead of the game.

1) The 15th time. With the 2021 edition in Cologne, Barça will play its 15th Final Four. Only CSKA Moscow (19), since 1988, have played in it more times.

2) Seven years later. Saras Jasikevicius' men return to a Final Four seven years after their last appearance (the Milan Final Four), with Xavi Pascual as coach in 2014.

Barça qualified for the Final Four in 1989 (4th), 1990 (2nd), 1991 (2nd), 1994 (4th), 1996 (2nd), 1997 (2nd), 2000 (4th), 2003 (champion), 2006 (4th), 2009 (3rd), 2010 (champion), 2012 (3rd), 2013 (4th) and 2014 (3rd).

3) The first since 2019. The Final Four in Cologne will be the first to be played since 2019, since the previous edition was not played due to Covid-19.

4) Aiming for the third. Barça hope to win the third Euroleague in their history, after the 2002/03 season at Palau Sant Jordi and 2009/10 in Paris.

5) Saras looks for the fifth. The Barça coach has won four Euroleagues. One as a Barça player, two at Maccabi and one as a Panaithinaikos player; the only person to win as a player at three different clubs. If Barça were to win this year, he would be the fourth person to triumph in the tournament as a player and as a coach after Armenak Alachachan, Lolo Sainz and Stevislav Pesic.

6) From Berlin to Cologne. Cologne will be the second German city to host the Euroleague Final Four. In addition, it is the fourth city that, without having any team competing in the competition, hosts the final phase of this competition.

7) Eighth final. The culés want to get to their eighth final of the Euroleague, after managing to do so in 1984, 1990, 19991, 1996, 1997, 2003 and 2010.

8) Mirotic, in the top five. The Barça player has credited 15.5 points, 5.8 rebounds and a PIR of 19.6 in 31 games in the Euroleague this year. The No.33 was one of the main reasons why Barça finished in first position in the regular league and qualified for the Final Four. This is the first time in his career that Mirotic has been included in the season's top five.
