Barça B's four finals

The victory against Lleida was key to keeping the aspirations of achieving promotion intact

Barça B’s victory in Lleida (0-1) was vital in order to keep their promotion aspirations intact. The team led by Garcia Pimienta are having a spectacular season, taking into account the youth of the team, with an average of 19.8 years. Players like Mika, Balde, Comas, Nico, Konrad, Álvaro Sanz and Lucas de Vega have been playing at a very high level, as has captain Àlex Collado, who was the leader at Lleida. The No.10 almost put the finishing touches to his performance with a goal from a corner, but his shot hit the crossbar.

Barça B are now third in Group III of the Second Division B with 26 points, three less than Andorra who have played one more game, and Nàstic who is the leader with 29 points.

Exciting calendar

This Sunday's victory was therefore vital to continue in third place with only four match days left until the end of the first phase. The main objective is to be promoted to the First RFEF and, secondly, to try to play in the Play-offs for promotion to the Second Division A. They are against Llagostera next Sunday at the Johan Cruyff Stadium (5.00pm CET, Barça TV), Espanyol B, who are currently seventh with 20 points, Cornellà, (eighth with 19 points), and Badalona (fourth with 24 points).
