Barça players set challenges on new ‘Blue&Red’ new show

One player, 12 reporters and one challenge make up a new programme that launches today on Barça TV+, in which two teams compete to win tasks set by an FC Barcelona star.

‘Blue&Red’ is the new entertainment program launched today by Barça TV+, FC Barcelona’s digital streaming platform. This new show, produced by Barça Studios, revolves around a challenge posed by a FC Barcelona player to two teams - Blue and Red - made up of reporters representing different countries around the world, who will take on various tests to decide the winners.

The series kicks off with Pedri posing his challenge to both teams, who will have to answer questions about him and complete the challenges set in order to achieve victory. The city of Barcelona is the backdrop, as the two teams will have to travel to different parts of the Catalonian capital for the tasks.

In each episode a Barça player will set the challenge. Those involved include De Jong, Ter Stegen, Dest, Trincao, Braithwaite and Mingueza.

The reporters taking part in the challenges will represent their respective countries of origin, including the United States, Venezuel, Iran, China, Germany and France. The programme is part of Barça TV+ ’s ORIGINALS content.

Antoine Griezmann's Challenges,’ where the striker challenges his friends from the world of sport with surprise activities, and ‘Origins,’ which provides a close-up, never-before-seen view of the players' careers through personal interviews and testimonies from their family and friends. In Discovering Barcelona’ they shows viewers what their favourite places in the city are, whilst in ‘El Buscamites’ different Barça legends show their lives after leaving professional football.

The platform is available globally through the club’s official website and app, on all devices -PC, tablet, phone and TV via casting technology - in three languages: Catalan, Spanish and English. Users can find more than 1,000 hours of content and more than 3,000 Barça videos, which can also be enjoyed on demand.
