Barça B lost at L'Hospitalet (2-0) despite having control of the match for long periods, after not taking advantage of the many chances they created.
Control and chances but no luck
In the first half at the Municipal Stadium of L'Hospitalet, García Pimienta's side imposed themselves on their opponents. Dominant in possession and playing an attractive game, only their aim in front of goal was missing.
Nico González and Oriol Busquets, before he went off injured, both had the chance to open the scoring, but neither chances were taken. A goalless first half came about thanks to a sporadic intervention by Iñaki Peña, the goalkeeper denying what would've been a clear goal for Salinas.
Konrad de la Fuente, electric after coming on as a sub, Nico González and Zeballos all went close in the first ten minutes of the second half, a frantic period that also saw two shots from L'Hospitalet.
A goal that changed the match
As Barça B's dominance faded slightly, the locals took advantage. Cristian Gómez, from inside the area, put L'Hospitalet a goal up, and with the Catalans going all out to get the equaliser, they were hit with a late sucker punch from Miquel Ripoll. It's the third away game in a row that Barça B have lost, and without scoring. Their next game is against Olot on Wednesday 25 November at 4.30pm CET.
