Barça prevailed in a game which was tough at times, with a good second half behind the victory for Jasikevicius' team. Abrines, with 16 points, was Barça's top scorer.
The match started with some great offensive effectiveness from Iberostar Tenerife (8-15, min 4). Barça, however, were able to react through Higgins, and with a 7-0 run and a basket by Orihuela on the counterattack, it was 19-20 at the end of the first 10 minutes of play.
Barça maintained their good momentum in the second quarter, increasing the intensity and creating problems in their opponent's attack. At the break, the Catalans were ahead (41-32).
In the second half, both teams emerged with credit. Abrines was inspired for the hosts, scoring more than 10 points, and by the end of the period the score was 62-52.
Iberostar Tenerife got back to within four points (62-58, min 32), however, Barça were very solid and ended up taking the victory by 81-74, their sixth in eight games.
