Barça gave an exhibition against HC PPD Zagreb with Dika Mem (8), Frade (6) and Aleix Gómez (6) the top scorers. From the start the Catalans began at a frantic pace, though it took them a couple of minutes to score through Ariño. Thereafter, Barça scored a goal a minute until the 17th. Frade, with five goals, and Aleix Gómez, with four, were the top scorers in a first half dominated by Barça.
Fourth consecutive victory in the Champions League
The fourth European victory of this year also came about as a result of solid defence, Kevin Möller denying the Croatians time after time.
Xavi Pascual's men didn't take their foot off of the accelerator at any point. Dika Mem, energetic in every corner of the court, excelled, whilst all the outfield players scored except Petrus.
The final score was 45-27, continuing Barça's unbeaten run in the competition. They'll try to continue this streak against Telekom Veszprém, with whom Barça are tied in first position in Group B. The match will be played in Hungary on Wednesday 21 October (6.45pm CEST).
