Second game for the Barça handball team in 48 hours and a second win in the Asobal League. Xavi Pascual's team overcame Logroño La Rioja by 37-21 in a game in which the visitors took control in the first half and maintained their advantage in the second. Palmarsson and Dika Mem top scored for the blaugranes with six goals each.
Goals early on
The game started with both sides in fine form in attack and the scoreboard read 4-4 after just minutes. However, three goals from Ludovic Fabregas saw Barça back on top at 9-5. Then Dika Mem picked up the baton with five unanswered goals to make it 19-13 to Barça at half time.
Sealing the win
In the second half Barça were able to maintain their superiority. Entrerríos and Palmarsson helped extend the lead to 24-15 and an excellent defensive display contributed to the score reading 31-18 after 48 minutes.
Xavi Pascual's team kept up the intensity until the end and the 37-21 win gives them a 100% record so far after two games of the Asobal league season.
