André Henriques Nunes Coelho is officially part of the Barça futsal team after passing his medical, thus confirming his inclusion until 30 June 2022, following on from Miquel Feixas last week. The other potential new acquisition, Matheus, will take his test when he gets to Barcelona ready for the preseason to start on August 4.
26-year-old Coelho has arrived from Benfica. Part of the European Championship winning Portugal side, he said: “I am very happy to be in Barcelona and to sign for such a big club as Barça, undoubtedly one of the best in the world. I have dreamed of playing for a club like this since I was a kid, and me and my family feel privileged to be here. I hope to help the team fight for every title.”
“It will be an honour to play alongside the likes of Dyego, Ferrao, Marcenio, Esquerdinha, Lozano, Aicardo and the rest. They are the best on the world and have a lot of experience.”
