Barça 98-84 San Pablo Burgos: To the final!

The blaugranes dominated the semifinal and will play the grand final of the Endesa League next Tuesday

Barça have beaten San Pablo Burgos (98-84) in the Endesa League semifinals and will play the grand final on Tuesday against Valencia or Baskonia. Pesic's men were dominant throughout, particularly in the second half, and fully deserved the win.

The Catalans started the game very well, with an initial 8-0 burst that included a brutal triple from MVP Mirotic, though Burgos quickly hit back (10-8). With a 9-0 to follow, Pesic's men pulled away once more, only to be pegged back again by the end of the first quarter (23-17). After going sixteen points ahead in the second quarter, Barça inexplicably allowed Burgos to earn a magnificent 19 points of their own, meaning that two late Mirotic gave the Catalans the slenderest of half-time leads (43-41).

Six consecutive points from Higgins opened the third quarter, followed by two triples from Claver and Mirotic. Despite Burgos' attempt to prevent Barça from going further ahead, it was of no use as a magnificent triple from Davies on the horn put them up 72-58. As they pushed harder not allowing their opponents any time or space, Oriola gave Barça a lead of 19 points (83-64), which proved to be an insurmountable obstacle for Burgos.
