Camp Nou disinfected ready for players' arrival

Specialised company thoroughly cleanses all areas of the ground that will be used by the home and visiting teams ahead of Barça v Leganés encounter

La Liga returns to the Camp Nou this Tuesday and in accordance with the LFP protocol for the return to action, all parts of the stadium where the players and match officials will pass at any point before, during and after the Barça v Leganés fixture have been thoroughly disinfected by the staff of a specialized company.

The players will come in through the entrance that connects the car park to the stadium, and will continue through the main lobby, the corridors, stairs and elevators that lead to the home changing room. All these areas have been disinfected. The visiting team will be arriving by coach, entering via entrance 15, and heading on into the grandstand lobby, and various stairs, corridors and elevators leading to their changing room. These too have all been disinfected.

The press room, the changing room tunnel, the referee's changing room, the anti-doping room and the medical room have also been disinfected, as have the presidential box and the entire bench area. Work in the latter area was particularly exceptional as it is here that the substitutes will be sitting for the whole 90 minutes.

The company has issued a disinfection certificate declaring what chemical products have been used, and all relevant rooms have been sealed off until the players arrive.

This work is being done in addition to the regular cleaning work that has been going on every day on the FC Barcelona facilities (Museum, Barça Store Camp Nou, Social Area Social, etc.), all under coordination by director Joan Bladé, who has made sure that the entire ground is a totally safe environment not only for athletes and other employees of the club but for all members and fans who come onto the premises.
