The Barça coach explained how the team are before the start of the final phase of the Endesa League
Barça's basketball side travelled to Valencia this Thursday, at 4.15pm CEST. A total of 16 players - 14 from the first team and also Bolmaro and Sergi Martínez - make up the Barça squad who will play the Endesa League final phase. Coach Svetislav Pesic spoke to the club's media before leaving.
Below are the coach's statements:
"We have a unique competition system in the history of Spain and Europe. We have to play a minimum of 5 games in 9 days. Our group is very tough, very competitive, demanding."
"We play against teams that are among the best in the ACB. There is no bad team in this competition and each team can win every match. From the first game we have to adapt."
"We have a lot of respect for all the teams and at the moment we can only think about the first match. Tactically and physically we must prepare well, forget about the previous matches, and just think about the match to come."
"I think that all the players have given their maximum. All have found additional motivation after being first in the regular league, with 70% of games played until then. We know where we are, and that we have to play a new competition, and this is why all the players are motivated."
"We have to see if just motivation is enough. I am very happy, more than before, to see how the team has taken on this challenge, and to demonstrate that we can win again. We are focused."
