French guard working out with his colleagues after a gruelling 5-month recovery programme
Thomas Heurtel trained for the first time with his colleagues on Tuesday after receiving medical clearance after a five-month absence.
The French guard underwent surgery on a partial tear of tendon in his left knee on August 12 and then spent three month combining gym work with therapy. He was then in the pool to retrain his body working again, plus work in an anti-gravity unit.
By December he was back at the Ciutat Esportiva, doing running, jumping and solo techniques, while the final period in January involved training with the Barça B squad to get back into contact with the game.
On January 21, Heurtel was finally back to training with his first team colleagues.
