Barça are back to winning ways after their first home game of 2020 and the first in the Palau since 30 November for Edu Castro's team. The blaugranes ran out 5-0 winners over Taradell thanks to a goal from Bargalló and braces from Nil Roca and Pablo Álvarez.
Barça were quick off the mark against newly promoted Taradell with Pau Bargalló going close early on the day of his 26th birthday. Chances came and went for both sides before birthday boy Bargalló finally found the net in the 23rd minute. Only 1-0 up at half time, Edu Castro's team came out in the second half to decide the game.
Pablo Álvarez and Helder Nunes combined to allow Nil Roca to make it 2-0. There were still nerves, however, until in the 43rd minute when Pablo Álvarez made it 3-0. Alabart created the fourth for Nil Roca and Pablo Álvarez rounded off the win with the fifth for Barça.
The blaugranes now lead the table on 42 points and their next encounter comes in Europe where they will take on Benfica at the Palau on Saturday 18 January at 5pm CET.
