Late comeback to take the win (80-82)

The blaugranes record their first win of 2020 with Mirotic scoring 28 points

Barça bounced back after the defeat away at Baskonia in the Euroleague with a victory away at San Pablo Burgos by 82-80. Svetislav Pesic’s team were behind for most of the contest but a final surge in the final part of the match was enough to hand the blaugranes their first win of 2020. Mirotic with 28 points and Oriola with 18 points were the top scorers for Barça.

San Pablo Burgos began the game with excellent shooting from the three point line with Benite making it five from five early on. Barça were 12-2 down before Mirotic helped to reduce the deficit to 28-20 at the end of the first quarter.

Oriola led the way in the second period as Barça continued their comeback and at the break they were just three points down at 47-44.

Captain Tomic scored seven points in the third quarter as Barça were briefly in front Mirotic took over in the final minutes with two free throws to put the blaugranes 82-80 in front. A basket from Burgos appeared to have sent the game into overtime but it was deemed to have been after the buzzer. Barça thus claimed their third win in a row in the league and their 13th of the season.
