Sao Paulo 3-0 Barça Legends: Beaten in the final

The veterans team win 2-0 against Dortmund in the semi-finals but have to settle for second place to the hosts in the 4-team tournament

We had a veritable football festival this Sunday in Sao Paulo as the Barça Legends played in a 4-team tourney with Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich and Sao Paulo, with Barça beating the Germans in the semis with goals from Giuly and Mendieta (2-0) but losing to the hosts in the final (3-0).

Barça played the final with an absolute plethora of legendary names: Vitor Baia, Belletti, Edmilson, Nadal, Goikoetxea, Deco, Mendieta, Giuly, Giovanni, Simao and Saviola.

Dehú, Litmanen, Dani Tortolero, Sergi, Anderson, Sánchez Jara and Geovanni Deiberson also came on later in the game.

The Brazilians took an early lead through Dagoberto, and Fabao extended that with a header off a corner after 16 minutes. Barça battled their way back into the game, Deco and Simao looking particularly impressive, but all hope was lost when Dagoberto chipped over Angoy to score his second of the day and make it 3-0.
