SL Benfica 2-4 Barça: Big win in Lisbon

Edu Castro's side manage to hold in in an intense game that sees them go clear on points at the top of European league Group C

Barça have won an outstanding game of hockey at the Da Luz in Lisbon. It was tough and tense from start to finish, but things eventually tipped the way of the blaugrana in the third game of the European League group stage, and means the Catalans are now clear at the top of Group C and playing great attacking hockey, with Egurrola as secure as ever between the sticks.

Pablo Álvarez scored twice and Matías Pascual and Joao Rodrigues got the others on a magnificent afternoon in Portugal.

With the continental target well on course, Edu Castro and his side can now switch their thoughts back to the OK Liga and a game at home to Lloret this Tuesday at 9.00pm CET, while their next European fixture is the return against Benfica, on January 18 at the Palau Blaugrana.
