On Sunday, 15 December, the Barça Legends will take part in a four-way tournament in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Albert Chapi Ferrer's side will play Werder Bremen in the semifinals at 2pm local time (6pm CET), in a game that will be followed by a match between Bayern Munich and Sao Paulo. At 4pm the third place playoff will take place, with the final kicking off at 5pm (9pm CET).
This will be the second visit to Brazil for the Barça Legends. Their first was in April 2018, when they played a game against the Pernambucana regional side in Recife, suffering a 1-0 defeat to a goal by Giovanni.
This will be the first match of the season for the Barça Legends, and Ferrer has announced the debut of Deco for the team. He joins the following players in travelling to Sao Paulo this weekend: Jesús Angoy, Vítor Bahia, Juliano Belletti, Miquel Ángel Nadal, Frederic Dehu, Juan Pablo Sorín, Sergi Barjuan, Francesc Xavier Sánchez Jara, Jari Litmanen, José Edmílson, Gaizka Mendieta, Jon Andoni Goikoetxea, Giovanni da Silva, Javier Saviola, Ludovic Giuly, Simao Sabrosa and Sonny Anderson.
Taking advantage of the 120th anniversary of FC Barcelona, a presentation was recently held at the Camp Nou to unveil the 'Legends of Style' tour, which will see the Barça Legends and Milan Glorie play a series of matches around the world. In attendance for the presentation were director and head of Barça Legends, Pau Vilanova, and Demetrio Albertini, who played for both clubs and is a promotor for the tour. Former FC Barcelona players Ferrer, Saviola and Gianluca Zambrotta were also present.
The tour will include a series of activities that will take place over the course of nearly a week, and will see former players interact with those in the host countries, including football workshops with children, press conferences, meet and greets with sponsors and more.
