UCAM Múrcia 83-87 Barça: Comeback completes amazing week

Following two Euroleague wins midweek, the blaugrana bounce back from 15 down to keep the winning form going

It wasn’t an easy one, but Barça have managed to make it a three out of three week, with Euro victories against Fenerbahçe and Maccabi followed by an ACB win at Mrcia (83-87). Hanga played a key role, and as ever so did Mirotic (20 points), but Davies (13), Tomic (12) and Kuric (13) also made contributions to a game that came down concentration in the final quarter.

The home side started strong and Barça played catch-up in the first period, eventually sneaking it by one (18-19), but Barça surrendered far too much possession in the second period and  found themselves trailing by 25 and only partially making amends before the break (41-32), with Eddie’s 3-pointers for the Murcians causing a lot of damage.

The third period ended 17-26, and as Barça drove their way back into the game it was Delaney who got the key score that put his side back ahead, cancelling out all the good work the home side had done earlier on.

Not content with cutting down the Murci lead, the Catalans went to amass one of their own. A game they had been in grave danger of letting slip soon had them leading by double figures. Murcia cut down some of that lead, but Barça controlled the plays and took a merited victory to complete a fabulous week all round.
