Recoletas Atlético Valladolid 27-39 Barça: Incontestable reaction

Barça had both the defensive and offensive engines on full throttle at Huerta del Rey on Tuesday day to remain undefeated in the Liga ASOBAL after four games. And this was a game that got off to an uncharacteristically stuttering start, but as Barça gained control of the game the gap started to widen, with Aleix Gómez leading the contributions with eight goals.

It’s not normal to see Xavi Pascual calling timeout early in a game but losing 5-3 he did just that. Whatever he said, it worked. Things quickly turned around to 6-9, and from there onwards, Barça did not look back

Now attention switches back to the EHF Champions League Champions and a trip to Zagreb on Saturday (8.30pm CET).
