Barça 4-1 Fútbol Emotion Zaragoza: Home win at the Palau Blaugrana

Barça made a strong return to the Palau Blaugrana in Friday night, picking up their second league victory of the season. An opening goal from opponents Futbol Emotion Zaragoza was swiftly cancelled out, and the home team showed their strength with goals from Roger, Joselito, Ferrao and Aicardo in a 4-1 win.

For the first time in 90 Barça played a home game. Before the match got underway, the youth teams were presented on the pitch, whilst the first team showed off the Spanish Super Cup won back in September thanks to a 4-3 win over ElPozo Múrcia (4-3). Juanjo, Ferrao, Lozano and Andreu Plaza were also celebrated, in recognition of their awards naming them the best players of 2018/19.

Fútbol Emotion Zaragoza went ahead through Esteban off a long ball upfield, but the reaction was quick. Roger capped a team move with an equaliser at the near post from the left of the attack.

A great reaction

At the start of the second half, Barça found their scoring form. Joselito finished off a through ball by Ferrao to make it 2-1. Ferrao extended the lead to 3-1 off a counterattack with Daniel and Aicardo scored from his own half into an empty net for the definitive final 4-1 strike. Zaragoza tried to fight back late on, but the Barça defence was focused and solid.
