FC Barcelona ambassador Juliano Belletti is currently a special guest at Barça Academy Clinics in Orlando, Columbus and Chicago on occasion of the first team’s tour of the United States.
On Thursday afternoon, the ‘Hero of Paris’ spent a goof while with the kids at the new Barça Academy Orlando, which is just about to open its doors for the first time in the north of Florida, while today Friday he did likewise at the FC Barcelona soccer schools in Columbus (Ohio) and Chicago (Illinois).
On Thursday, Belletti travelled to Austin Tindall Park, site of the Barça Academy Orlando, the fiftieth of the club’s soccer schools worldwide. A busy, action-packed day involved the Barça Legend meeting a large number of the players that over the next few weeks will be forming the first wave of young athletes that will be learning the game in accordance with the Barça methodology and values. Belletti joined a training session that lasted the best part of an hour and involved almost sixty children, who also enjoyed the opportunity to speak and play with the player and get plenty of useful advice. This was followed by a try-out session for the over eighty boys and girls that are looking to earn places on the program.
After his day in Orlando, Belletti is now heading to two of the other academies that the club has opened on US soil, spending time with the young footballers at Barça Academy Columbus in the morning and then catching a midday flight to be with the children at Barça Academy Chicago in the afternoon. After playing and training with the kids, Belletti will be catching up with the rest of the Barça touring party at Ann Harbor (Michigan), where the first team will be playing the last game of the preseason on Saturday.
