Barça well represented in Copa América semis

Coutinho, Arthur, Messi and Vidal are all still involved in a competition that is down to the last four

FC Barcelona are superbly represented in the Copa América semi-finals. The defeat of Uruguay on penalties to Peru spoiled the hopes of a full house, but four out of five are still alive and we guaranteed at least one Barça player in next weekend’s grand final.

Coutinho and Arthur with Brazil and Leo Messi with Argentina will be meeting in the first of the two games (Tuesday at 9.30pm local time, 2.30am CEST), in the Clásico de las Américas. Brazil made it through on penalties against Paraguay, while Argentina, the only team not to require a shootout to get through the quarter finals, beat Venezuela 2-0.

There will be no Barça meet-up in the other semi. Arturo Vidal and Chile are there after defeating Colombia, but they’ll be meeting Peru, conquerors of Luis Suárez’s side (Wednesday at 9.30pm local time, 2.30am CEST).

So, four teams left, and three with Barça players involved. Who do you think is going to go and win the coveted title?
