FC Barcelona first team player Rafinha Alcántara will act as an ambassador at the eighth Barça Academy World Cup presented by Rakuten. The 2019 edition of the competition continues with the upward trend of participation numbers, and more than 2100 children aged between 6 and 14 will gather at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, Miniestadi and annexed pitches at CEM Aristides Maillol from April 15-18.
Rafinha will attend the presentation press conference on Friday, April 12, which will be open only to visual media. He will also hand over the trophies to the winners and runners-up of the four categories at the tournament: Under-8s, Under-10s, Under-12s and Under-14s.
The Barça Academy World Cup presented by Rakuten will feature more than 2000 participants for the first time, hailing from five continents. The 188 teams will 51 Barça Academies and Barça Academy Camps from 23 different countries.
