Barça Lassa have won their quarterfinal play-off, and are still on course for the ACB title. In the first match, Pesic's side beat Juventut Badalona by 87-61, and in the second, a victory by 86-107, they dominated practically from the start. Heurtel was the most outstanding player on the night.
The hosts started well with a solid defence (7-2, min 2), but little by little the visitors clawed their way back and then eventually overwhelmed the green-and-blacks. In fact, by the 10th minute, the Blaugrana were already up by 19-28, with six points from Claver, five from Hanga, two from Heurtel and one from Singleton. The lead was extended to 28-41 after a triple from Orihuela (+13), though Joventut had closed the gap slightly by halftime (40-48).
A barrage of baskets just after the break (44-59, min 23) put the visitors well in command again, and a Singleton triple saw a 16-point gap open up (51-67, min 26). The final period began with the hosts 65-79 behind, and whilst they tried everything, led by the MVP of the regular phase, Nico Laprovittola (22 points), the success of Heurtel -11 points in the last period - eased Barça home.
With a minute left, Pesic's side had opened up a 23-point lead (84-107, min 39), before closing the match at 86-107; a result which sends Barça to the semifinals, where they'll meet Zaragoza.
