Barça Lassa have gone one game up in their quarter final league play off against Divina Seguros Joventut thanks to an 87-61 win at the Palau. A great team performance with Heurtel the top scorer with 17 points followed by Singleton and Claver on 15 allowed the blaugranes to take the win against their local rivals from just down the road in Badalona.
The Palau was packed for the visit of Joventut and the great atmosphere helped the blaugranes to an early 29 to 20 lead after 10 minutes. In the second period the visitors came back at the home side and at one point there were within three points at 31 to 28. With Tomic coming to the fore, Barça were able to go in at half time with a 35-31 advantage.
It was at the start of the second half that Pesic's team took control of the contest. Nine straight points from Heurtel and domination on rebounds gave them a 51 to 34 lead. Great defense curtailed any hope of a comeback from the visitors.
In the final quarter Barça Lassa closed out the win without problems and now they go to the Olímpic in Badalona for game two on Sunday 2 June at 7.00pm CEST.
