The BPA make three grants available to study English in Manchester

The grant includes a course in Barcelona and a trip to the United Kingdom to study at Manchester United

The Barça Players Association (BPA) have made three grants available via their Careers and Training Centre, with the aim of furthering FC Barcelona ex-players’ football specific English language skills.

The grants, which are each valued at 1500 Euros and will be paid in full by the BPA, have been made available to Barça Players Association members who joined at least 6 months prior to the 31st of July, 2017. The aim is for them to improve their specific English for football language skills and for them to put their newly gained knowledge into practice in a professional setting.

Eduardo Juan, Association director and leader of this particular project, pointed out that for members to have the chance to apply for the grant they need to have a particular profile: “We’re looking for coaches with an upper-intermediate level of English who are willing to fully commit to this opportunity and all that it represents for the coaches themselves as well as for the BPA”.

Members can contact the BPA for full information on the available grants, which include a three week course in Barcelona in the month of July, as well as a five day stay in Manchester, where theory will be combined with practical work in the Manchester United youth system.

The good working relationship between the Barça Players Association and Manchester United has made this opportunity possible for members of the organisation. The trip to the UK for our ex-players is just the beginning, as in the near future three coaches from the “Red Devils” youth system will travel to Barcelona to see how teams at the Masia are run.

Applications for the grant can be made from the 29th of May until the 8th of June.
