BIHUB meets business management students

The board member Marta Plana gives a talk on how FC Barcelona approaches knowledge and innovation

On Thursday the FC Barcelona board member Marta Plana gave a talk about the Barça Innovation Hub to a group of 200 Executive MBA students from the ADEN International School who are in Barcelona this for an academic study week.

The event took place at the 1899 Auditorium under the title “BIHUB: Shaping the Future of Sports” and allowed the students to get an idea of how FC Barcelona approach the management of knowledge and innovation and how this philosophy is put into practice via the projects of the Barça Innovation Hub.

In the talk Marta Plana explained to her audience, in the main from Latin America, that Barça is the largest laboratory that there is in the football industry thanks to its five professional sports, nine amateur sports and countless youth teams that bring together more than 2,000 sportsmen and women. Plana also touched on topics such as performance, sports technology, fan engagement and big data as well as highlighting the initiatives being carried out by BIHUB in the area of social innovation in partnership with the Barça Foundation.
