Fifth International FCBEscola Tournament to get underway

The #FCBEscolaChallenge has been launched on Twitter to get the ball rolling

The inauguration of the International FCBEscola Tournament will take place on 21 March on the pitches next to the Miniestadi. Over 1,200 children from around the world will compete in the fifth edition of the tournament.

It will be a real party atmosphere as it falls in the Holy Week of Easter; as well as just football, there will be various activities that the children can enjoy.

The final schedule of the tournament is slowly being drawn for the tournament which comes to an end on Thursday 24 March at the Miniestadi, where a day earlier the FC Barcelona Women’s team will play a quarter-final match of the UEFA Women’s Champions League against PSG.

As the tournament draws ever nearer, Tuesday saw the start of a social media campaign to get the ball rolling on the FCBEscola Twitter account. The club has launched a campaign for all of those who are set to participate in the tournament with the following challenge: How many keep-ups can you do? CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!’.

All FCBEscolas around the world are asked to join in to get the children in the mood for the tournament and to test who can do the most keep-ups. The children asked to film their attempts either on the grounds of their school or in an emblematic part of their cities.

This is just the starting point for the #FCBEscolaChallenge action, serving as a warm-up to the big tournament which will 1,200 youngsters learning every day with the methodology and the philosophy of Barça.
