Òscar Grau visits FCBEscola in Warsaw

The visit comes as part of the director’s aim to get to know all of the international projects first hand

FCBEscola director, Òscar Grau, continued getting to know the various schools of the clubs around the world, this time with a trip to Warsaw, Poland.

It was a commitment that was made with the partners and each of the directors of the FCBEscola when Òscar Grau came to office in September 2015. Now, accompanied by his team, this commitment is being carried out.

Last week, along with the director of projects in Europe and Africa Iñaki Andreu, he visited FCBEscola in Warsaw, which has been functioning since November 2011.

Òscar Grau was able to see how the project in Warsaw has not stopped growing, gaining acclaim of the local society and the Polish media, as well as the families of the children who are able to enjoy the facilities and training which is transmitting the ‘Barca DNA’ and the club’s philosophy.

The director of the FCBEscola witnessed how the winter and summer facilities worked, with 600 children registered, was able to see how the coaches were working with the youngsters.

“It has been a visit which has surprised me a lot. The standard of the children is very good,” said Òscar Grau.

In the last few days, one of these youngsters, goalkeeper Marcin Bulka, who is 16 years old and 1.92metres tall, has been training with Barça’s youngsters at Ciutat Esportiva.

Other recent visits

This visit to the FCBEscola in Warsaw is one of many that Òscar Grau has made in recent months, such as Fukuoka and Katsushika (Japan), Istanbul (Turkey), Quingdao (China), Casablanca (Morrocco), New Delhi (India), Singapore, Dubai and Saudi Arabia.
