First international soccer camp for girls in Barcelona

FCBEscola to hold FCBCamp this summer at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper from July 31 to August 13

FC Barcelona is playing a leading role in the development of women’s football. It’s women’s first team is growing stronger and stronger and reached the quarter finals of the Champions League this season, and is still in contention to win the domestic league title, something that has already been achieved by the B, U19 and U14 teams.

As part of this process, the Barça methodology is being spread to young female players, and as part of that programme FCBEscola is proud to announce that it is holding the first International Soccer Camp for girls in Barcelona.

Organised in partnership with Naru Sports, and featuring coaching expertise from FCBEscola, the venue will be the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper from July 31 to August 13. It is aimed at girls from anywhere in the world aged 13 to 17 years, and the participants will be staying at the Sant Jordi Residence in Barcelona.

Only three other clubs, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City of England, have ever held such a camp in Europe before.

Two workouts a day

Every day will include two training sessions designed to teach the famous FC Barcelona methodology, work on the main skills and tactics involved in the game and reveal more about Barça and its facilities.

The girls will be staying with like-minded players of their age and will also get to enjoy a wide range of complementary activities, such as a visit to the city of Barcelona and the chance to explore the Camp Nou Experience.
