The big change to the Barça Regal team announced on Wednesday is Pete Mickeal. The American small forward has missed the last three games with a pulled muscle but is back in the side that will play in Moscow on Thursday in game five of FCB’s Euroleague group at CSKA. “He’s really well and has trained normally for the last few days”, said Xavi Pascual in his press conference, although he did explain that just 13 days after getting injured, Mickeal is still not performing at his best.
Barça Regal will therefore be taking 13 men to Russia, which means Xavi Pascual will have to drop one of them before the match.
“Navarro is fine”
The FCB coach also spoke about Juan Carlos Navarro’s form after hurting his ankle five minutes from the end of the third period against Caja Laboral, even though he returned to the game later. “He is fine. It was a shock, but he has trained normally and is in good condition” said Pascual.
